Flexible and consistent throughout:
The KUHNKE Fuxx Drives Concept

Especially in automation, rapid product changes and ever higher demands require ever more
flexibility. The Fuxx drives concept from KUHNKE Automation is a solution that offers not
only consistent networking throughout, but also minimizes the workload for commissioning,
programming and wiring of machines as far as possible. It is conceived in such a way that it is
easy to integrate even into existing control concepts. It communicates via CANopen, but the
PROFIBUS, SERCOS and EtherCAT field bus modules are also available as options.

The central unit of the new system is the Fuxx Pilot. It contains the Ventura IPC with real-time
operating system and EtherCAT master activation. The motion software is based on the
CoDeSys tool and supports the user with motion control libraries and cam and track editors, as
well as diagnosis programs. The other modules of the drive system are Fuxx Control with the
drive control units, and Fuxx Drive with the servo motors. The drive control units also run
with hardware and software supported by CoDeSys, such as MCB modules or PC tools. The
Fuxx controllers also enable interpolating multi-axis movements, such as cam, track and NC
functions. To cover a broad range of applications, the Fuxx drives are available in different
sizes and torques from 0.05 to 120 Nm, and in a power range between 50 W and 25 kW.
Encoder systems and stopping brakes can also be implemented as required.
